Listed ETL Trademark

The ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories) Trademark is a safety symbol which is recognized in the whole of North America. It indicates that the product has been tested by an accredited laboratory, respecting all the applicable safety standards and minimum requirements for sales and distribution in Northern America.

ETL- an accepted trademark

The legal requirement which permits testing and certification of products destined for sale in the United States is the recognition of the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as a nationally recognized testing laboratory (Nationally Recognised Testing Laboratory – NRTL) . One of the NTRL functions is that of giving independent evaluations, verifications and certifications for any product which runs on electricity, gas or petrol.

Each NTRL has a unique trademark (for ex. ETL, CSA and UL) which demonstrates that the product in question has the minimum requirements fixed by the national safety standards, for example those established by ANSI, IEC, UL, CSA and CGA. As the listed ETL trademark is a recognized and accepted indicator of the conformity of the product to the safety/hygiene standards, the retailer, the inspectors and the local authorities unanimously accept products with the ETL listed trademark

ETL Sanitation Trademark

Before being sold in the United States, all equipment destined to the preparation, conservation and distribution of food must be conform to the hygienic safety norms NSF, recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

The ETL Sanitation Trademark means that the product has been tested by an independent laboratory and is conform to the minimum requirements indicated by the hygienic safety standard of the product. The ETL Sanitation Trademark certifies that the equipment is indicated for the production of food or to be used environments where food products are destined for human consumption. Furthermore, the trademark indicates that the production site is conform to several requirements and is subject to periodic inspections to verify the continuous conformity.
